IMPLEMENTASI MODERASI BERAGAMA DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PAI UNTUK MENCEGAH SIKAP EKSTREMISME DI SEKOLAH DASAR

This study aims to examine the implementation of religious moderation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) learning as a preventive strategy against the development of extremist attitudes among students at MIMA 2 Jombang, Jember Regency. The research employed a qualitative approach using a case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using a descriptive-analytical model involving data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that religious moderation has been systematically integrated into lesson planning, instructional practices, and attitude assessment in PAI learning. The internalization of moderation values is carried out through theological, historical, and moral pathways embedded across PAI subjects. A personal and dialogical approach to vulnerable students proved effective in preventing tendencies toward extremism. The implementation of religious moderation resulted in observable behavioral changes, including increased tolerance, empathy, conflict resolution skills, and social intelligence. This study concludes that religious moderation functions not merely as instructional content but as an effective character education strategy for preventing extremism at the primary education level.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis implementasi moderasi beragama dalam pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) sebagai upaya pencegahan sikap ekstremisme pada peserta didik di MIMA 2 Jombang Kabupaten Jember. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi pembelajaran, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model analisis deskriptif-analitis melalui tahapan kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa moderasi beragama telah terimplementasi secara sistematis dalam perencanaan pembelajaran, proses pembelajaran, dan penilaian sikap. Internalisasi nilai moderasi dilakukan melalui jalur teologis, historis, dan moral yang terintegrasi dalam mata pelajaran PAI. Pendekatan personal dan dialogis terhadap peserta didik yang rentan terbukti efektif dalam mencegah kecenderungan sikap ekstremisme. Implementasi moderasi beragama berdampak nyata pada peningkatan toleransi, empati, kemampuan resolusi konflik, dan kecerdasan sosial peserta didik. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa moderasi beragama merupakan strategi pendidikan karakter yang efektif dalam pencegahan ekstremisme sejak jenjang pendidikan dasar.
