PEMBELAJARAN BAHASA ARAB DI MADRASAH IBTIDA’IYAH: ANALISIS DESKRIPTIF-KRITIS TERHADAP KURIKULUM, METODE, DAN TANTANGAN IMPLEMENTASI

Arabic language learning at Madrasah Ibtida’iyah (MI) plays a strategic role in strengthening students’ religious competence and developing their foundational foreign language skills. Arabic serves not only as a means of communication but also as a key to understanding Islamic teachings through the Qur’an and Hadith. This study employs a library research approach to analyze the curriculum, teaching methods, and implementation challenges of Arabic instruction in MI based on relevant literature and recent studies. The findings reveal that learning effectiveness is largely determined by teacher competence, the application of communicative and scientific approaches, and the use of interactive learning media. Quality improvement requires continuous teacher training, development of digital learning materials, and performance-based assessment. This article contributes conceptually to the development of a contextual and engaging Arabic learning model for elementary Islamic schools.
Pembelajaran bahasa Arab di Madrasah Ibtida’iyah (MI) berperan strategis dalam memperkuat kompetensi keagamaan sekaligus membentuk dasar kemampuan berbahasa asing peserta didik usia dasar. Bahasa Arab tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai alat komunikasi, tetapi juga sebagai kunci memahami ajaran Islam melalui Al-Qur’an dan hadis. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan library research untuk menganalisis kurikulum, metode pembelajaran, serta tantangan implementasi bahasa Arab di MI berdasarkan literatur dan hasil penelitian terkini. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa efektivitas pembelajaran sangat dipengaruhi oleh kompetensi guru, penerapan pendekatan komunikatif dan saintifik, serta pemanfaatan media pembelajaran interaktif. Diperlukan strategi peningkatan mutu melalui pelatihan guru berkelanjutan, pengembangan bahan ajar digital, dan evaluasi berbasis performa. Artikel ini memberikan kontribusi konseptual terhadap pengembangan model pembelajaran bahasa Arab yang kontekstual dan menyenangkan di madrasah dasar.
