Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to analyze the management of social studies learning resources in improving students’ understanding of social concepts at SDN Tenggarang 1 Bondowoso. This research used a qualitative approach with a case study design. The research subjects consisted of the principal, classroom teachers, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis employed an interactive analysis model including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that the management of social studies learning resources was carried out through planning, utilization, and evaluation of various learning resources such as textbooks, visual media, learning videos, and the surrounding environment as contextual learning resources. The use of diverse learning resources increased students’ participation in the learning process and helped them understand social concepts more concretely and meaningfully. Therefore, effective management of learning resources can improve elementary school students’ understanding of social concepts in social studies learning.

ABSTRAK

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengelolaan sumber belajar IPS dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sosial siswa di SDN Tenggarang 1 Bondowoso. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian studi kasus. Subjek penelitian terdiri dari kepala sekolah, guru kelas, dan siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data menggunakan model analisis interaktif yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pengelolaan sumber belajar IPS dilakukan melalui perencanaan, pemanfaatan, dan evaluasi sumber belajar yang beragam seperti buku teks, media visual, video pembelajaran, serta lingkungan sekitar sebagai sumber belajar kontekstual. Pemanfaatan sumber belajar yang variatif mampu meningkatkan keterlibatan siswa dalam proses pembelajaran serta membantu siswa memahami konsep-konsep sosial secara lebih konkret dan bermakna. Dengan demikian, pengelolaan sumber belajar yang efektif dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konsep sosial siswa sekolah dasar dalam pembelajaran IPS.
