IMPLEMENTASI PBL BERORIENTASI ESD DALAM MENINGKATKAN LITERASI DAN SUSTAINABLE AWARENESS PESERTA DIDIK MADRASAH IBTIDAIYAH SOKO PEKALONGAN

Abstract

Science learning is closely related to the environment and daily life. However, the fact is that there is still a lot of environmental pollution due to human actions. Therefore, educators must implement learning strategies that lead to the environment. Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) is a strategy that can increase sustainable awareness and science literacy of students with the aim of improving the quality of life. The method used in this research is quantitative with a one group pretest-postest design. The data collection techniques used are tests, questionnaires, and observations. This research uses descriptive data analysis in the form of N-gain and inferential data analysis in the form of dependent t-test. The results of this study are: (1) the ESD-oriented PBL learning model runs well with a score of 3.7. (2) ESD-oriented PBL learning model is able to improve students' science literacy with a sign value. 0,000 (p < 0,05). (3) ESD-oriented PBL learning model is able to increase the sustainable awareness of students with a sig value. 0,000 (p < 0,05). It can be seen from the data that there is an effect of ESD-oriented PBL learning model can improve science literacy and sustainable awareness of grade V students at MI Soko Pekalongan.

 

Pembelajaran IPA berkaitan erat dengan lingkungan dan kehidupan sehari-hari. Namun, faktanya masih banyak ditemukan pencemaran lingkungan akibat ulah manusia. Maka dari tu, pendidik harus menerapkan strategi belajar yang mengarah ke lingkungan hidup. Education for Sustainable Development(ESD) merupakan strategi yang mampu meningkatkan sustainable awaraness dan literasi sains peserta didik dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Adapun teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu tes, angket, dan observasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan analisis data deskriptif berupa N-gain dan analisis data inferensial berupa uji-t dependen. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu: (1) model pembelajaran PBL berorientasi ESD berjalan dengan baik dengan skor perolehan 3,7. (2)  model pembelajaran PBL berorientasi ESD mampu meningkatkan literasi sains peserta didik dengan nilai sign. 0,000 (p < 0,05). (3) model pembelajaran PBL berorientasi ESD mampu meningkatkan sustainable awaraness peserta didik dengan nilai sig. 0,000 (p < 0,05). Dapat dilihat dari data tersebut bahwa terdapat pengaruh model pembelajaran  PBL berorientasi ESD dapat meningkatkan literasi sains dan sustainable awaraness peserta didik kelas V di MI Soko Pekalongan.
